ONE DAY AT A TIME

It’s only April 7, but the Blewers already trail the Cubs and Pirates by a ½ game and the season hasn’t even gotten underway. “We’ll take it one game at a time, it’s a tough hill to climb, but we feel we have 162 games to catch them.  Being a half game behind before the season even starts doesn’t seem fair, but this group can rise to the challenge.  We’re encouraged by the chance we might get rained out today and Jeff won’t have to pitch, that could mean one fewer loss down the road.”  Words of wisdom from new manager Ken Macha (pronounced MA-CHA, I think, not real sure).  The Quest for 72 victories might begin today at 2:35pm CST.  If the game does get played, look for the first San Francisco home run land in the ocean at about 3pm CST.

Blew Notes…C.C. Sabathia picked up right where he left off in the post season for the Yankees in their opener yesterday, striking out none and walking five in a 10-5 shellacking at the hands of the mighty Orioles.

Dear Tom Izzo, nice effort.
