Good News

First the good news – the Screwers avoided their seventh loss in eight games by rallying to defeat the Mighty Cleveland Indians, 14-12, in an NFL pre season exhibition game Monday night.  Now the bad news, they had to rally with six runs in the eighth against the Mighty Indians to do it.

More good news – Prince Feedler finally hit his first Grand Salami of his major league career; now the bad news, it was his first major league grand slam.  Alexi Ramirez had four grand slams as  a rookie last year for chrissake.  C’mon Prince!

The good news – Trevor Hoffman got his 16th save, despite being tattooed and saved by a nice play by Casey McGahee to end the game – the bad news, David Bush was whacked for eight runs in less than four innings of work.

But the good news is Yovani Gone-Yard-O is chucking tonight.  However the bad news is the remainder of the rotation sounds like this: Suppan, Narveson, Looper and Bush.

The final good news Screwer fans – your team is in first place – the bad news is, not for long.

And For What
