Hot! Minor Serves Licker

Mike Minor, Atanta’s little known left-handed starter, baffled the Brewers on two hits over 7 1/3 innings of work and the Bravos escaped Turner Field with a 2-1 victory last night, handing the Screw-Ha’s their third consecutive loss.

George Kottaras and Matt Gamel stuck out with the bases loaded in the top of the ninth, ending any chance for John Axford to come into the game and blow a save in the bottom half of the frame. Atlanta’s deadly closer, Craig Kimbrel, baffled the final two Blewer batters with 97 mile per hour heaters and nasty sliders.

It would appear the Blewers better get their act together today, although they trot out number 5 starter Chris narveson against right-hander Brandon Beachy. The oddsmakers like the Bravos, so do I. Looks like the first four game losing streak of the year for Milwaukee is ready for the books.

And for what
